Chileno Bay is a private residence Master Planned Community currently developing across 1260 Acres.  Already more than $23M has been sold and nearly $20M are under contract. The majority of Phase 1 roads and underground utilities are in, and the community is expected to develop to its potential rather quickly. Chileno Bay offers an attractive location between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas and the experience of one of the most attractive beaches of Los Cabos. In fact, Chileno Bay is accredited as a “blue-flag” beach, of which there are only 11 throughout the country of Mexico.

Chileno Bay also offers competitive prices for some of the largest lots sold in Los Cabos, and the full-suite of amenities and activities which can be experienced within the privilege of it’s private gated community. Nine are already completed and several more are progressing underway.

Residences within Chileno Bay include:

  • Chileno Point Villas & Ocean Front Estates – Ocean Front home sites for Custom Home Building. Of only 7 oceanfront Point Villas released, just only 1 remains. The first about to go vertical in just a few weeks.
  • Hacienda Villas – located on the second, third, fourth & fifth rows from the beach, these lots are designated for homes built by the Chileno Bay development group.   The Hacienda Villas offer the traditional hacienda concept with open courtyard and flanking casitas but will be offer contemporary and coastal living design features.  There are two floor plans El Ray (4 bedroom) and Dos Rayes (5 bedroom) with fine contemporary lines and linear architecture. If you are interested, I can provide more information to demonstrate the floor plans.  Views from the second and third rows are spectacular and I particularly like the third row.

Hacienda Villa 205, pictured here, will be the first of the new Hacienda Coastal designed homes to be completed.  I’m happy to give you more of my recommendations as to which lot may offer the most of privacy and view features.  The starting prices for the 4 bedroom homes are currently at $3.2M

Amenities of Chileno Bay include a Members Only 18-hole, par 72 Golf Course designed by Tom Fazio across 7,260 yards.  I have included some pictures I took some of Tom Fazio’s Signature 12th hole and of the natural lake which compliments the terrain, landscape and ocean views from each hole.   The golf course is currently in play by its members.  The comfort station and Club House are completing construction and will be attractive features to complete the course experience.

The Beach Club, designed by Hart Howerton (Phase I – Q3 2015), will reside on the most recognized beach in Mexico and be two times the size of Querencia’s recognizably superlative Club.  The most attractive feature of the beach club are right there in the calm clear waters of the bay, which resembles soft Caribbean beaches.  Chileno beach is the most attractive for snorkeling to spot some of our hemispheres’ most exotic fish and is home to a variety of tropical fish, sea turtles, starfish and more!  In fact, we had a wonderful whale show when I recently visited just 100 yards from where we stood.  No need to charter a boat for our whales’ annual visits!

Retaining walls for the beach club’s infinity edge family pool are complete.

The beach club will offer more than just access to the safest and cleanest swimmable beach in Los Cabos – and all the beach toys and activities you can imagine; but will also be built to include a expansive ocean front Family Friendly Pool, Bar & Restaurant, a separate Kids Pool and Water slide, Kid’s Bar for snacks & Kids Club complete with game tables, arcade, arts & crafts and indoor bounce house; and of course peace and relaxation with an exclusive Adult pool featuring a Wine Cellar with a Lounge and Viewing Patio and personal Wine Storage for members.  Integrated within the Beach Club will be 2 movie theaters, a croquet lawn, an event lawn, dry cabanas for even more privacy and seclusion, and a Marketplace for your grocery and shopping conveniences.

 

The incredible beach club site is on schedule to open the restaurant and main pool by the end of this year.

 

The Fitness Center – (Q4 2015) will be centrally located and complete with facilities for the sports & athletic enthusiast but also have outdoor compliments like walking trails, hiking trails (already offered), and biking trails (all marked and offered at beginner, intermediate and advanced options). The Fitness Center features Cardio, Weight, Movement Studio, Lap Pool, Jacuzzi, Juice Bar and luxury men and woman’s locker-rooms.

The Chileno Bay Park (Q4 2016) extends the Fitness Center’s workout to the outdoors, with Lighted Tennis Courts (one with stadium seating), a Water Park, Full Basketball Court a Casual Restaurant and an Organic Field Kitchen.  The variety of dining options throughout Chileno Bay Club brings your social activities close to home and within the company of privileged members and guests.

Within Chileno Bay is also a luxury hotel named VieVage which is part of the prestigious Auberge Resort Collection, this is currently under construction and is also selling villa residences. This entire project will complete and deliver with all of it’s amenities, residences and boutique hotel to complete in the Summer of 2016.

 

Membership Bonus: Current Owners and Residents have paid $150,000 and up to $200,000 for the membership amenities at The Chileno Bay Club.  However, this will be included with your purchase if contracted before June 2015.

Furthermore, Home Owners Dues are estimated to start at $3,000/mo for the first two years and continue with a 10% increase in years three through five.  There is a Master Insurance Policy on the community (note not all communities have one in place) and even due to Hurricane Odile there have been no major damages.  Therefore Homeowners will not be assessed for additional financial support to the Homeowner Association in the upcoming year.

The Legacy Club offers the Chileno Bay experience to your extended family.  An offering of “1 up/2 down” membership extends your Chileno Bay privileges up to your parents and down an additional two generations below you (as the primary owner). That means your grandchildren will be entitled to the membership benefits through the community just as equally as you enjoy them.  This community will evolve with your family and continue to give back to both your children and, someday, their children the same.

I have continued to appreciate Chileno Bay as one of my newest favorite up-and-coming resorts.  I feel it has attracted a youthful, yet mature and established group of members/owners.  The community is planned to give residents all of the best experiences Los Cabos has to offer.  It is a place where you can continue to be active despite your age or the stage of your family (whether its within the home to the activities outside the home throughout the 1260 acres).
